Fable, a game of destiny and adventure. Where farm boys are turned to heroes. Although I was rather annoyed when I was denied entrance at the flash game trailer, I decided I was relentless on my quest of enlightenment on the game, so i reloaded the page, determined to lie to them this time about my age. Oh, but the creators of this game are cunning! I was still denied entrance! Time for some cosmetic surgery.
So I deleted all my cookies and still, no luck! The same message "Nay, nay, nay!" came unto my screen. Well, as you can understand, I was not particularly happy at this point, mainly due to the fact that an animated game was reserved exclusively for over 17's, and also at my low amount of skills at using my own computer.
So at this point, after being sufficiently annoyed, I was ready to give up, when I realized there were two other flash applications in the list. So i tried the next one, Chicken Kickin', which I found personally as a vegan, quite shocking.
It was only until i saw the third flash file that I truly regained hope in it. In fact, I love it! I can't wait for it to be released! But then I realize that you need an Xbox 360 to play the game! *sigh* I guess this is where daddy comes into the picture...
So here's the deal, in the game, you can choose who you want to be; be it boy or girl, fat or slim, good or evil, and the works! You can choose from all kinds of different abilities and with what weapon best suits you for killing your adversary.
But most importantly, you follow a story, of a young boy who discovers his true destiny. Not just senseless violence, but a fable that unfolds before you, and you are the narrator.
I think this game will be well worth the money. I'm sure as hell getting it. Are you?

Made In China-- A bad word in IT?
Whenever we think of a Made in China Product, we think of a few things; dingy plastic word, strange sounding names and most importantly- melanin, but that has nothing to do with IT and so we'll leave it out.
Now, I've bought on many occasions, Mp3 and Mp4 players that just so happened to be made in the middle country, as us Chinese refer to China, and I've found various issues, most of which greatly reduced the fun of using them.
One such problem is the fact that you'd probably get four good months of quality time with it, before the thing breaks apart in your hands (sort of like the Nokia 5610...), but for the prices us cheap-skates are paying, we can't really complain, can we?
Another thing that one might note, is that the minute you pull one out of your pocket, everybody knows your cheap! What with the distinct brand names like Jing Ming Jia or Oklar. It is, however, incomparably awesome to pull out an Apple from your pocket and flash it everywhere in the train, or the latest Nokia.
And also, they feel terrible when you use them; low grade plastic and terrible English everywhere, it's just a reminder of how low on funds you are.
In fact, the irony was that I started this post to try and defend Made in China products, but after scouring the internet and asking my friends' opinions, I realized it would be fruitless; there is nothing good about things made in China. Please, if you want to buy an Mp3, save up like the rest of us. You could probably get a good deal.

The Nokia 5610 Express Music-- Why does it break so easily?
So for Christmas last year my dad bought me a new phone, which was very nice of him, and it was a very nice phone. It took me quite a while to remember the number that Nokia had so creatively given it *cough*, and for a while i just knew it as the Express Music Phone.
So I had it for a few months, and had a great deal of fun with it's user friendly interface, it's large fonts, and of course it's music player, apart from many things. However, there was one thing wrong with this phone that vexed me day and night; parts were falling off it like nobody's business!
Now, this was definitely not due to dropping, as it was hardly dropped (I took great care of the phone my dear daddy gave me), and I'm generally not very rough with (expensive) inanimate objects.
Now, here's how it started: a few months after purchase, I pulled the phone out of my pocket, in an attempt to contact loved ones, but i realized that the slide button got left behind in my pocket!
It was astounding!
And from then on, more things kept dropping off the phone, and now my pride and joy was now my greatest shame! It looked like a car that should no longer be on the road! I was horrified whenever I saw it and I thought I could bare it no longer! But I did, in my naive belief that somehow somebody would be able to fix it for me. I was wrong though.
And about three months after the initial dilemma, the screen of the phone got tired of it's job and decided not work anymore. So here I was, the once proud owner of the Nokia 5610 Express Music, here I was with the worse looking phone anyone's ever seen! People retorted whenever I pulled it out. Oh, you would have laughed, had you seen me with that horrendous thing.
So my resolve was to simply drop that infernal machine, and get an old, reliable Nokia. You know, the ones that don't even have any color, but can be dropped off a train just fine! And from then on I no longer had any trouble with my phones. :)

The underated Sidekick 2008 Smartphone

The first thing you notice about the phone is that, well, it's a lot easier to use then the iPhone. I mean, who's gonna be able to speed sms with that fumbly thing? But this phone was built for comfort and incredible speed, and it's quite noticeable, in terms of it's easy grip design and the fact that every says it's the best keyboard equipped on such a small device allows me to conclude as much.
If anything though, many of the critics have called this phone a kid's phone. Yes, that may be true, what up-high CEO would be caught dead witht this toy?
But obviously there are some good things about this , and I believe that it is too underated, in comparison. Just because it doesn't have a fancy label like Apple under it's belt doensn't mean we should overlook it.
The Sidekick 2008 is a bettered Sidekick LX that costs about US$50 less than the one that came before (when you sign up for a two-year plan, the 2008 model costs $200).
The only thing I see with this phone is just familiarizing yourself with it (which is central to any phone), but apart from that there isn't much wrong with it. Okay, it looks like something designed for kids, but who cares when you have such a great keyboard?

Just when you thought Apple couldn't make their IPods cooler...
They did.
The new iPod touch with 32 gigabytes surpasses all possible imagination. Added volume controls, speakers, and touch screen. And the best part is that you don't have to pay to use it every month!
Now, nobody ever said that it was supposed to be cheaper than other competing media players, but with the iPod touch, you get so much more. Let me explain.
Let's start with the massive 3.5" LCD screen, that is a true experience to watch movies on. The first thing that you notice is that it's a touchscreen, like its name suggests. Even seeing a picture of it is enough to make anyone drool.
Another thing that you rarely see in portable media players, is that inside it's sleek, sleek body, you'd find it has wifi internet access, meaning that you can connect anywhere that has an internet hotspot, enabling you download your songs from iTunes.
The designers obviously thought of themselves when they named the music software; Genius. With a touch on your satisfyingly large screen, you are able to create playlists so easily, you'd wonder why you ever bothered with other softwares.
So what happens, you say, if one runs out of movies or music so satisfy oneself? Well although the idea is completely impossible as the memory available on the iPod Touch is more than enough to store one's life. However, it does much more than just play media. It is also good for games, and with it's impeccable design, gaming never was such a blast!

Overall, Apple has again, made itself proud with this small, seemless device that boasts a full arsenal of capabilities that set it distinctly apart from any of it's competitors. One just wishes it was slightly more affordable.
