The Nokia 5610 Express Music-- Why does it break so easily?

So for Christmas last year my dad bought me a new phone, which was very nice of him, and it was a very nice phone. It took me quite a while to remember the number that Nokia had so creatively given it *cough*, and for a while i just knew it as the Express Music Phone.

So I had it for a few months, and had a great deal of fun with it's user friendly interface, it's large fonts, and of course it's music player, apart from many things. However, there was one thing wrong with this phone that vexed me day and night; parts were falling off it like nobody's business!

Now, this was definitely not due to dropping, as it was hardly dropped (I took great care of the phone my dear daddy gave me), and I'm generally not very rough with (expensive) inanimate objects.

Now, here's how it started: a few months after purchase, I pulled the phone out of my pocket, in an attempt to contact loved ones, but i realized that the slide button got left behind in my pocket!
It was astounding!

And from then on, more things kept dropping off the phone, and now my pride and joy was now my greatest shame! It looked like a car that should no longer be on the road! I was horrified whenever I saw it and I thought I could bare it no longer! But I did, in my naive belief that somehow somebody would be able to fix it for me. I was wrong though.

And about three months after the initial dilemma, the screen of the phone got tired of it's job and decided not work anymore. So here I was, the once proud owner of the Nokia 5610 Express Music, here I was with the worse looking phone anyone's ever seen! People retorted whenever I pulled it out. Oh, you would have laughed, had you seen me with that horrendous thing.

So my resolve was to simply drop that infernal machine, and get an old, reliable Nokia. You know, the ones that don't even have any color, but can be dropped off a train just fine! And from then on I no longer had any trouble with my phones. :)
